AMFI organises weekly cultural and leisure activities aimed at:

 

  • learning more about Italy and especially our area, in a not conventional manner;

  • meet new people in a multicultural environment;

  • visit some very interesting spots, also outside the classic routes;

  • experience and learn the authentic Italian social life.

 

In addition, on request we can arrange different activities such as sports (mountain biking , trekking, skiing, climbing, etc. ..) or courses in photography , video, theater and more.

Is an abruzzese museum dedicated to prehistoric sacred art. Situated in the inside of castle Piccolomini represents one of the most important cultural attraction from Marsica region. It reunites the great artistic expression of Marsica transposed in sculpture, picture and textiles from XII –XVIII centuries. So, because of its importance as one of the most famous Celano attractions, AMFI will be pleased to organize a guided wonderful visit.

Come and visit Santa Maria Church! In the beautiful valley called Porclaneta, at the foot of Monte Velino and near the village of Rosciolo. From the valley we can see, through soft hills, Fucino. On the Church portal there is a fan light with a beautiful fresco that represents the "Madonna" with two angels on the sides dating back to the XIV century. An exceptional example of Pre-Romanesque, Romanesque and byzantine style!

One of the most spectacular resources of Sirente-Velino Regional Park and the entire Province of L'Aquila. An important example of subterranean karst phenomenon, Stiffe Caves have a particular feature making them unique in Italy: they can be technically defined an "active reappearing spring", meaning that they are crossed by a subterranean river, leading visitors along its 700 meters of length in the cave and the 695m of height, outside the cavity.
